1. The Service

StoryMail ("we", "us") is a product of 8 Cents Media. We provide an AI-powered tool that generates personalized fictional stories for use in B2B sales and marketing outreach. Stories are delivered as downloadable PDFs and optionally printed and shipped via third-party print fulfillment partners.

2. Payments and Refunds

Payments are processed by Stripe. All purchases are for digital goods (PDF downloads) or print-on-demand physical goods. We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee — contact support@getstorymail.com within 30 days of purchase for a full refund. Print orders that have already entered production cannot be cancelled but may be refunded at our discretion if the product is defective.

3. Content and Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of any story generated using your inputs. You may use generated stories for commercial purposes including sales outreach, marketing, and business development. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of generated content complies with applicable laws. We do not claim any ownership over stories generated through the service.

You grant us a limited license to store your story content in order to provide tracking, public story reader, and PDF delivery features.

4. AI-Generated Content

Stories are generated by third-party AI providers. Generated content is fictional and intended for creative sales and marketing purposes only. We do not guarantee accuracy of any facts, statistics, or industry references within generated stories. You are responsible for reviewing content before sending it to prospects.

5. QR Code Tracking

Each generated book includes a personalized QR code. When a recipient scans the QR code, we log the event (including timestamp, IP address, and user agent) and may send a notification email to the address you provided during book creation. By using this feature, you acknowledge that scan data is collected and stored, and you are responsible for informing any recipients of this tracking in accordance with applicable privacy laws.

6. Print Fulfillment

Printed books are fulfilled by professional third-party print-on-demand partners. Shipping timelines, pricing, and availability are subject to those partners' terms. We act as an intermediary and are not responsible for delays, damage, or errors caused by fulfillment partners, though we will work with you to resolve any issues.

6a. Uploaded Photos & AI Likeness

The personalized tier lets you upload photos that our AI recreates as illustrated characters inside your book. By uploading a photo, you represent and warrant that you have the right to use it and that you have obtained any necessary consent from every identifiable person depicted to have their likeness used and rendered as an AI-generated illustration. You are solely responsible for obtaining that consent. AI-recreated likenesses are stylized interpretations intended to be recognizable, not exact reproductions. We may refuse or remove any uploaded content that appears to violate these terms or our AI providers' usage policies.

7. Prohibited Use

You may not use StoryMail to generate content that is defamatory, harassing, fraudulent, or that violates the rights of any third party. You may not use the service to impersonate any person or organization without their consent. We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these terms.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that generated content will be suitable for any particular purpose. Your use of the service is at your own risk.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, 8 Cents Media's liability for any claim arising from use of the service is limited to the amount you paid for the specific order giving rise to the claim.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by updating the effective date above. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
